Architectural Technology

The Department of Architectural Technology I works in the fields of the development of technical systems and materials; the conservation of built-up environments; architecture, energy and services; land policy and valuations; building and the environment; and construction. Most of its members act as consultants and collaborators on the design of building projects. They also serve on committees entrusted with producing reports and formulating standards, write papers and monographs, and contribute to numerous publications.

The Department participates in a number of European R&D projects, such as the ARCHISUN-Renewable Energy Sources Implementation, under the auspices of the Thermie-B program. Within the framework of the Altener-II program, it has also participated in the project entitled "Preparation of Teaching Materials and the Regulatory Framework for a European Master's Course on the Integration of Renewable Energies in Buildings". In addition, the Department participates in national and international conferences.


The Vallès Technology section of the Department is the responsible for teaching the subjects of Architectural TEchnology  in ETSAV studies.
