El IASAP Illinois , amb base a l'ETSAV, organitza un viatge amb els seus estudiants i obre les places a estudiants regulars de l'ETSAV. ULTIMS DIES!
Els estudiants de IASAP Illinois que estan cursant el curs a l'ETSAV organitzen un viatge guiat per França en autobus i obren la inscripció a estudiants regulars de l'ETSAV.

Sortida: Dimecres 11 de març a les 7:45h (am)
Tornada: Divendres 20 de març a les 22h
Cost: 750€ per persona, inclou autobus, metro a París, allotjament, la majoria de visites programades, esmorzar i el darrer sopar a la Tourette.
Visites destacades: Pont de Millau, Catedral de Chartres, Palau de Versailles, Vil·la Savoye, Notre-Dame, Centre Pompidou, Fondació Louis Vuitton, Institut del Món Àrab, Pavelló Suís, Monestir de la Tourette...

Framework: A ten-day road trip through France, from Sant Cugat to Paris (four full days in Paris). The field trip consists of a variety of instructor guided, self-guided and free visits to architectural and urbanistic landmarks, from the recent Viaduct de Millau and Fondation Louis Vuitton, to canonic buildings from various periods such as the Cathédrale de Chartres, the Château de Chambord and Villa Savoye. Several blocks of “free-time” are built into the trip’s schedule to allow individual students’ to explore other parts of the city (this includes the most touristic sites of Paris such as the Eiffel Tower, Montmartre and the Louvre Museum). Visits to architectural landmarks will be led by IASAP-BV faculty members Jeff Kansler, Raul Martinez and Alejandro Lapunzina. Students will be required to document the field-trip through an organized journal of sketches.

Departure: Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at 7:45h (bus begins moving at 8:00h)
Return: Friday, March 20, 2015, at 22:00h (estimated time of arrival at Sant Cugat)
Cost: the cost is € 750/student. This includes: transportation by rented bus; metro tickets in Paris for planned visits; lodging during the entire trip at pre-reserved youth hostels; breakfast at all hostels; dinner at La Tourette (last day); entry fee to most buildings visited (except those which visit of the interior is not listed, i.e., Centre Pompidou). It does not include meals and other personal expenses.

Wed 11-M
From Sant Cugat to Clermont Ferrand; road stop at Viaduct de Millau (Norman Foster); overnight: at youth hostel in Clermont Ferrand.
Thu 12-M From Clermont Ferrand to St. Chéron; visits of Château de Chambord and Cathédrale de Chartres; overnight at youth hostel in St. Chéron.
Fri 13-M From St. Chéron to Versailles/Poissy/Paris: visits of Château and gardens of Versailles (Hall of Mirrors) and Villa Savoye (Le Corbusier); overnight at youth hostel in Paris/Gare de Nord.
Sat 14-M Paris: visits of Cathédrale de Notre Dame, Place des Vosges and Centre Pompidou (exterior only; interior is optional); overnight at youth hostel in Paris/Gare du Nord.
Sun 15-M Paris: self-guided walking tour of architectural sites in Paris (map and directions will be provided) from a pool of four possible itineraries: (1) Paris Rive Droite/ Opera Garnier, Place Vendôme, Louvre, Tulleries; (2) Parc de la Villette; (3) Paris Rive Gauche/ St. Germain-des-Près, St. Sulpice, Panthéon, Sorbonne, Jardins de Luxembourg; and (4) District of La Défense. Students will be asked to document the itinerary of their choice through journal sketches. [Four hours of free-time are considered in the day’s itinerary to allow students to explore other parts of the city]; overnight at youth hostel in Paris/Gare du Nord.
Mon 16-M Paris: guided visit of Fondation Louis Vuitton (Frank Gehry), followed by free visit of collection. Guided walking tour: Bercy, Passarelle Simone de Beauvoir (RFR), BNF F Mitterrand (D. Perrault), Notre Dame de la Sagesse (PL Faloci); bateauxbus to Orsay, Passarelle Solférino (M Mimram); overnight at youth hostel in Paris/Gare du Nord.
Tue 17-M Paris to Dijon: brief visits to Institut de Monde Arabe (Jean Nouvel), Pavillion Suisse + Maison de Brésil (Le Corbusier); bus trip to Dijon; overnight at youth hostel in Dijon.
Wed 18-M Dijon: the activities of this day are still pending confirmation; they will include visits to building/s and sites of architectural and urban significance; overnight at youth hostel in Dijon.
Thu 19-M From Dijon to Eveux-sur-l’Arbresle; visit of Musée Archéologique de la Culture Celtique-Bibracte (Pierre L. Faloci), and Couvent de la Tourette (Le Corbusier); overnight stay at individual cells in the Convent of La Tourette.
Fri 20-M From Eveux-sur-l’Arbresle to Sant Cugat ; following a short closing session at La Tourette we will begin the long return trip (estimated 10-12 hours long); estimated arrival at Sant Cugat at 22h.
